This page explains what Mi Barrio Beverley Barbershop does with information about you when you use this website. It is short because the website does very little: it has no advertising, no analytics, no tracking pixels and takes no payments.
What we collect, and only when you book
Reading this website collects nothing about you. The one place we ask for anything is the booking form, and only what an appointment needs:
- Your name — so we know whose chair it is.
- Your phone number — so we can reach you if something changes on our side.
- Your email address, if you give one — so we can send you a confirmation. This is optional and the booking works without it.
- Anything you write in the notes box — please do not put health or medical details there. Tell the barber in person.
- The service, date and time you chose.
To stop the form being abused, the website counts how many bookings come from one internet connection in a short period. It does that by turning your IP address into an unreadable code; the address itself is never written down, and the code is discarded within the hour.
Where it goes
Into this website’s own database, and into an email to the shop so that a barber sees it. If you gave an email address, a confirmation goes to you as well. That is the whole journey. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to anyone for marketing, and there is no third party involved in taking your booking.
The people who can see it are the shop’s own staff, and the company that hosts this website, in the ordinary course of keeping it running.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records while they are useful to us — to know your history in the chair, to settle a dispute about an appointment, and for our own accounts. When a record stops being useful we delete it. You can ask us to delete yours sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own for visitors. WordPress, which the site is built on, sets cookies only for people who log in to manage it. The cookie notice has its own page and covers this in more detail.
The map
The only outside company this website talks to is Google, and only for the map showing where the shop is. Depending on how the map is set up, it either loads as a picture that contacts Google nothing until you tap it, or as Google’s own interactive map, which loads from Google’s servers and is subject to Google’s privacy policy rather than this one.
What you can ask us to do
Call or come in and ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. We will not charge you for asking and we will not treat you differently for having asked.
Children
We cut children’s hair, and we expect a parent or guardian to make the booking. This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from one.
Changes
If this changes, the new version replaces this one on this page.
